There was a great turn-out of 28 for the May melee and after three rounds there were six unbeaten players with Richard Collyer taking the honours with a +27 points advantage, just pipping Ben Merrick by one point. Glen Woodward was third with +23, Nouri Beladaci fourth with +21, Nigel Polding fifth with +20 and Catherine Black sixth with +15
